Andrew Plympton AM

Chairman

Andrew is a keen sailor, a member of the Australian Olympic Committee executive, and is the longest serving President of Yachting Australia.

Andrew also served as the President of St Kilda Football Club between 1993 and 2000, during which time the club enjoyed improved success from the previous barren 20 years, making it to to the 1997 Grand Final, its first since 1971.

Professionally, Andrew is also the chairman of sports merchandise retailer Beyond Sports International (formerly known as Concept Sports).

Peter Jess

Treasurer

Peter’s a former amateur boxer and is now the principal of Peter W. Jess and Associates Pty. Ltd (trading as PJA Accountants) where his responsibilities include personal representation for high-profile AFL players, basketballers, soccer players, coaches and Australian athletes.

As a pioneer of player representation, Peter has witnessed the long-term impacts - deterioration in quality of life - that many of his clients have suffered as a result of their concussions. Leading Peter to turn his fighting instincts to achieving better risk-mitigation practices across all sports.

Damien Meredith

Committee Member

Damien has had lifelong involvement with many sports as a player, supporter, sponsor and administrator.

Damien is passionate in helping Indigenous Education and ensuring all sport is played in a fun, enjoyable and safe manner at all levels.

Professionally, Damien is the Chief Operating Officer of Kia Motors Australia. He has a BEd and MBA from Griffith University.

Milli Bilson

Committee Member

Milli is a rowing coach and is currently studying a Double Degree of Exercise and Sports Science and Business (Sports Management) at Deakin University.

Milli devotes time to Sports Health Check, curating critical research gathered from sources across the world, creating a matrix from what each of the studies - in terms of the clinical outcomes - are telling us.

Of particular focus has been research relating to concussions with women, how they differ from the male cohort.

Milli also liaises with leading world experts in relation to how communications and rehabilitation programs should be tailored to women.
